Alexis Maxime Feyou de Happy
Is the author of many books.
In 1974 he instigated the creation of the first writers and artists organization
of Cameroon, a daunting task under dictatorship. The Uhuru Arts Society whose co-founders
were Dave K. Moktoi and Martin Kume Tale was the only organization in 1976 to support
the freedom movement in South Africa and made a special performance to commemorate
Soweto. Alexis de Happy left for Europe in 1978 where he met Paul Dakeyo and help
launched the organization that matured into SOS Racism. In 1975 he wrote Consciousness
Exposed addressing neo-colonialism. In 2002 he published Dithy. In 1986-1997 with
the Afro Arts cultural center he was instrumental in the second Harlem Renaissance.
In 2006 he published Fairy Tales from Propagamar aka Lady Panther.
